At Mott 50, we love spending time outdoors, but we know first hand that it's important to consume sun in a healthy way.

How did Mott 50 come to be?  It all started with two friends on the beach ... We realized a void in the apparel market: fashion-forward sun protective clothing in soft, lightweight fabrics.  We responded by creating Mott 50, a line of clothing that offers 50 UPF (ultraviolet protection factor) in each garment.  Note, this is a major departure from the average white tshirt which has a UPF of just 5!

Mott 50 proudly blends fashion and function in a way that has not yet been done before in the sun protective world.  We also give back, donating a percentage of proceeds to melanoma research and educating the youth on sun safety.
